On March 2, 2023, the review meeting of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association standard "Technical Specification for Ultrasonic Time Difference of Diffraction (TOFD) Inspection of Steel Structures" (draft for review), which was jointly edited by Zhongye General Research Institute of Construction Co. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongke Innovation") using a combination of online and offline methods.
The meeting was hosted by the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association Structural Welding Professional Committee, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Practice Qualification Registration Center Guo Baoning senior architect, the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association Structural Welding Professional Committee Secretary General and Branch Secretary General Ma Dezhi professor-level senior engineer.
1. Conference Overview
On behalf of the editor-in-chief, Prof. Chang Haozan, Senior Engineer of China Metallurgical Construction Research Institute Co., Ltd. expressed his gratitude to the participating leaders, review experts and members of the preparation team for their active support and participation. Guo Baoning, an expert from China Engineering Construction Standardization Association, delivered a speech and wished the review meeting a complete success. The meeting was established to China Engineering Construction Welding Association executive vice president Liu Jingfeng professor-level senior engineer as the team leader, China Steel Structure Association executive director Duan Bin professor-level senior engineer as the deputy leader, China Agricultural University, Professor Dr. Jin San, Ministry of Housing and Construction Professional Qualification Registration Center Guo Baoning senior architect, Beijing Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, Professor Chunsheng Dai senior engineer, Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Zhang Qinghua, Hubei Ltd., Zhao Boyou, a researcher of China Aviation Planning and Design Institute, and Qin Kai, a professor-level senior engineer of Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co.Ltd.
2. Review results
At the review meeting, engineer Chang Hailin from the main editorial unit, China Metallurgical Construction Research Institute Limited, on behalf of the preparation team, reported on the background, technical content and other preparation work of the standard. The review expert group reviewed the draft of "Technical Specification for Ultrasonic Time Difference Diffraction (TOFD) Inspection of Steel Structures" chapter by chapter and article by article and made comments and suggestions for revision.
After discussion, the review expert group considered that the content of the standard is scientific and reasonable, operable and harmonious with the existing relevant standards, filling the gap of the domestic steel structure field TOFD inspection technology standards and reaching the international level, and unanimously agreed to pass the review of the draft of "Steel Structure Ultrasonic Time Difference Diffraction (TOFD) Inspection Technology Regulations".
3. Post-meeting visits
After the meeting, the leaders of the meeting made a site visit to the exhibition hall of CK Innovation equipment, the R&D production line of portable and phased array type equipment, and the processing factory of automation equipment, and gave them high recognition.
